Priyamani Is Now Asking For 40 Lakhs

Priyamani has been getting about 20 lakhs as remuneration per film so far. But the success of films like Yamadonga (Telugu) and Paruthiveeran (Tamil) has emboldened her to jack up her remuneration. She is now asking for 40 lakhs, a 100 percent hike.After portraying a simple village belle in Paruthiveeran and winning a National Award for it, she’s gone on to do many glamorous roles, the latest of which is a glam doll role in Hare Ram.Priyamani has realized that being glam doll is more lucrative than being a good actress.

Priyamani Is Demanding 43 Lacs

Urvashi Priyamani, who is presently basking on the value of her National award, has hiked her remuneration. Her latest release ‘Hare Ram’ which is getting positive response at the box office has made her to do so. Now this sexy and buxom babe is demanding 43 lacs as her remuneration. Some sources also reveal that Priyamani on her mother’s nod is willing to do some steamy scenes in her coming films provided she is paid accordingly. Very soon she will be following the path of Nayantara as one of her coming films will feature her in a BIKINI in few scenes.

In her initial stages of her career Priyamani did some obscene photo shoots and circulated it in albums to the Kollywood and Tollywod. On those photo still basis, she fetched a role of a second heroine in the film “Yevare Athagadu” Opposite to hero Vallabh. But now the time has changed since then. With Pellaina Kothalo she made her reentry and now the whole industry is said to be swaying to her tunes.

Priyamani was in the spotlight recently for receiving The National Award, as The Best Actress for the year 2007 for the Tamil film 'Paruthiveeran' is also basking in the fame of her latest release Hare Ram, which has been registered a big hit.

This successful actress, who is equally proficient for glamour as well as performace oriented films has reportedly increased her remuneration by almost double.

Interestingly the producers of her films are willing to pay as per her demands in order to capture her skills in to their projects.

Priyamani Act "Pokkisham" With Cheran

Actor - director Cheran had launched a scathing attack on actress Priymani recently.

In an interview to a magazine, Cheran said that she did not deserve the National Award and she had no interest to do quality cinema. Cheran had approached Priyamani to act in his 'Pokkisham' initially and as she declined, he reportedly roped in Padmapriya.

In her retaliation, Priyamani said, ' Cheran did not approach me. One of his assistants sought me to act in 'Pokkisham'. However I was busy with a Telugu and a Malayalam film. Manirathinam's film in Tamil might commence at any moment. Hence I quietly declined Cheran's offer'.

'I am annoyed at his comments on me. It upsets me a lot. I worked hard in 'Paruthiveeran' and Ameer helped me come out with my best. Cheran's comments are unwarranted', she said.

Priyamani Is Top Most Actress In South Indian Cinema

Normally, when a heroine wins a National Award, commercial directors and top heroes prefer to stay away from casting her. But for Priyamani who won the National and Filmfare awards for the best actress for her performance in Ameer’s Paruthiveeran, things seems to be exceptionally good.

Commercial director Shankar, who was on a world tour location hunting for Robot, sent her an SMS congratulating her and expressing a desire to meet her. It is heard that they may sign a new project. Last week, she signed up for Bharath’s Aarumugham to be directed by Suresh Krishna.

She also stars in Prithviraj's Ninaithale Inikkum, a remake of the Malayalam movie Classmates; in Telugu, she is currently shooting for theNitin starrer Drona. She is also doing a Malayalam flick Thirakkatha with Prithviraj under the direction of Renjith. Priyamani's latest Telugu film Hare Ram with Kalyanram releases on July 18.

It has not been a smooth ride for the actress, who did about 15 films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam in her six-year celluloid journey. "It’s not been a bed of roses. I have had my share of struggles to gain a foothold in the industry," she points out.

Earlier, gossipmongers romantically linked her to Vishal during the making of Malaikottai, and her steady boyfriend is said to be Telugu actor Raja. “I am not in love with anyone. I also consider myself fortunate not to have fallen in love as yet. I am single and I love being single. As far as Raja is concerned, we are just good friends.When I go to Hyderabad, we catch up with each other and often party together. Right now, I am in love with my work,” the pretty actress revealed.
