Rajinikanth and Vijay Join One Film

n the air about another possible Malayalam remake in Tamil.

According to r

eports, plans are on to remake the Malayalam film 'One Way Ticket' that had Prithiviraj in the lead and Mammootty in a cameo as himself. The story was about Mammooty, a superstar in films, coming down to a village to save his ardent fan's love life.

A big banner that produces Tamil films is said to have bought the rights for this movie and is ready to remake the film with Vijay in the lead role. The reports also add that superstar Rajinikanth has been approached to play the cameo. Official confirmation is not out yet and it is not known if Rajinikanth will give the nod.

An interesting point to note is that Rajinikanth has been remaking quite a number of Malayalam hits. 'Muthu' was the remake of 'Thenmavin Kombathu' and 'Chandramukhi', the remake of the Malayalam classic 'Manichithra Thaazhu'.

With recent reports that have come in saying that 'Kuselan' has managed only a lukewarm opening, the decision and announcement about remaking 'One Way Ticket' might go under the scanner.

Prabhu Deva said "Villu" will be as successful as "Pokiri"

Prabhu Deva is directing Vijay for the film 'Villu' and the dance master-turned actor-turned director is more than confident about the movie's prospects at the box office. When asked if 'Villu' will be as successful as 'Pokiri', the director said he hopes it will be three times more vibrant than 'Pokiri'.

When asked about big names such as Vadivelu and Nayantara in the film, Prabhu Deva said, 'When Vijay was confirmed for the project, one of my assistants literally begged me to cast Nayantara in the film. His desire seems to be working wonderfully well and the film is shaping up very well'.

'The film would start off in a pleasant way in a picturesque habitat and jovial manner with family, friends and lorry loads of fun. A gory incident takes place and the action begins. Vijay would be awesome in these scenes. Songs and fights have come out impressively and I am very happy with things'.

Talking about Nayantara in the film, Prabhu Deva gives a sneak peek of her introduction scene. 'When you are running for cover after it starts raining and then you find a beautiful girl with an umbrella standing in the rain inviting you the share the umbrella with her, how would you feel?' asks the director.

Well, Nayantara might just have to dance in the rain once again after 'Kuselan'.

When asked about Prabhu Deva's Hindi remake of 'Pokiri' featuring Salman Khan, the expert dancer turned director says, 'it has been about seven years since Salman had acted in an action packed film. He has performed extremely well and the movie is sure to be exciting'.

It is interesting to note that Prabhu Deva is directing Vijay for 'Villu' while his elder brother Raju Sundaram is directing Ajith in 'Aegan'.

So who are the real competitors? Vijay and Ajith or Prabhu Deva and Raju Sundaram? We'll know soon.

Vijay Next Project to AVM productions

Vijay’s Villu is taking shape and the crew has recently packed their bags and left to Switzerland. Song sequences between Vijay and Nayan are being planned to be shot in exotic locales in the country. Villu is directed by Prabhu Deva and is slated for a late 2008 release.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s next two consecutive projects seem to have been finalized if sources are to be believed. As informed by us earlier, the actor would work for the AVM productions venture, produced by AVM Balakrishnan. The next project after that, which would be Vijay’s 50th movie, is to be produced by his father’s V.V. Creations. An official announcement and further details in this regard are awaited.

This Year Deepavali Will Be A Great Competitions

Two polar are going to compete each other for this Deepavali after a long gap.

Ajith and Vijay project themselves as close friends; they are bitter enemies in their career competitions. We have seen how Vijay made Trisha to pull down Ajith's cut-out during last Deepavali.

Since Ajith goes selective, Aegan will be creating flutters when released for Deepavali. Vijay's movies are doing very bad in theaters in recent times and he wants to give a break through Vil which is being released on Deepavali day.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay Goes To Abroad

Ilayathalapathy Vijay and the unit of Prabhu Deva's Villu, produced by Ayngaran International are leaving for Switzerland on Thursday night (July 31).

The unit will be in Switzerland for nearly a month as they will be canning two songs and some scenes. As per unconfirmed reports story wise the hero goes abroad in second half of the film to track down the killers of his father.

Ravi Varman is the cameraman of this action adventure film, while music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Earlier the unit wanted to shoot in France, but due to certain technical problems it had to be changed at the last minute.

Ajith And Vijay To Spend Their Times At France And Italy

We are back here again with interesting as well quite exciting news about our ultimate star Ajith Kumar and Ilayathalapathy Vijay. For the eyes of many, they may be spotted as contenders, but they are so close friends sharing their personal issues together. At present, Ajith is busy shooting for the film Aegan while Vijay with Villu and this has tied them together more closely.

Both these films are being produced by Ayngaran Films International and you something more common than this? Any guesses? Ajith’s Aegan is directed by choreographer Raju Sundaram while younger brother Prabhu Deva wields megaphone for Villu. Ajith who had been to Cannes Film Festival was fascinated by exotic locations in France and requested Raju Sundaram to carry on shooting at these spots. Meanwhile, Vijay had got some good locations for Prabhu Deva to carry on shooting songs there.

As a result, both the brothers have sharing their ideas have decided to shoot the songs at both the locations. So we will have Ajith and Vijay spending their times together in Italy and France and remember Nayanthara would be shaking her legs with these heroes simultaneously for she is the heroine in both the films.

"Villu" Shooting Is Happening At Pollachi And Pazhani

Nayantara danced with Vijay to a song sequence in Sivakasi. This is her first film opposite Vijay. Earlier, Nayan was to have acted as Vijay's heroine in 'Kuruvi' but Trisha had her way and grabbed the role.

'Villu' shooting is happening at Pollachi and Pazhani. Nayantara has a homely role in this. That is one reason for signing her on.

Vijay And Nayanthara In Pollachi In This Week

The Vijay- Nayanthara action entertainer Villu, directed by Prabhu Deva is making brisk progress. Last week, during the nights, action scenes were canned for the film in and arond the busy streets of Chennai.


The film has some awesome action scenes which are very crucial to the story. After completing the Chennai schedule, the unit has now left for Pollachi to shoot a song for the film.According to sources in the industry, Prabhu Deva wants to shoot the ultimate Kuthu song for the film. Remember some of the most popular Kuthu numbers in Tamil cinema have featured our Ilayathalapathy. One of the major highlights of Vijay- Prabhu Deva’s earlier Pokkiri was the songs and its picturisation. Who can forget the chartbusting kuthu number Mambazham ma…?
Similarly in Villu, music director Devi Sri Prasad is said to have composed a mass kuthu number which will be picturised on Vijay and Nayanthara in Pollachi this week. The song, it is believed, is sure to make the fans of the star happy.

Rajinikanth And Kamal Haasan Will share Screen Presence After A Very Long Time

As reported earlier, Madras Archdiocese is producing a film on the life of St. Thomas, an apostle of Jesus Christ.

St. Thomas came to India to spread God's message after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his tomb is located at the Santhome Basilica in Chennai. Plans were made to make a spectacular film along the lines of 'Benhur' and 'The Ten Commandments' showcasing the life and times of St. Thomas.

It has been confirmed that Ajith and wife Shalini will be part of the project. According to unconfirmed sources, superstar Rajinikanth will be playing the role of legendary Tamil littérateur Thiruvalluvar in the film. The sources also add that Kamal Haasan will play a prominent role and actors Vijay and Vikram will also feature in the film.

Funded by the Government of Canada and the Vatican, the film will be made at a whopping cost in various locations in India and abroad. Shooting is slated to happen in January 2009 and the film will grace movie screens in 2010.

If the unconfirmed sources are to be believed, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will share screen presence after a very long time….well over twenty five years.

The film was recently launched at the Santhome Basilica compound by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

Vijay's "Villu" Is Coming Up Well

Vijay's Villu is coming up well and the priliminary shooting at Palani and the second phase of the film is paced well.

Dancer turned Director Prabhu Deva with Vijay is shooting the movie at Chennai from July first onwards. The shooting being carried out with all security measures around the Nandambakkam area and is done during and after mid night.

Vijay is rocking in the film by performing some amazing stunt sequences at Nandambakkam and the same is being filmed. The shooting at Chennai will be over in a fortnight's time and then they would relocate to Tirunelveli for filming some important scenes.

Bikini girl Nayanthara may join the Villu team in the middle of the second schedule and showcase more of her curves for public viewing.
