Paruthiveeran Book Includes Colour Stills From The Film School

Paruthiveeran hogged the limelight when it bagged a National Award and garnered the entire nation’s attention; it also won the Oslan award for the best film. The script of Paruthiveeran has now been converted into a book by director Ameer at the request of its aficionados and aspiring filmmakers. The book, which also includes colour stills from the film, could well be a guide to aspiring filmmakers and students of film schools. It might even be included as reference material in film schools across the state. Besides, it is definitely a collector's item for Paruthiveeran aficionados.

Speaking on the film’s success, director Ameer said, “When I set off making this film, I never expected this kind of response, let alone releasing a book containing the film script.”

"Aayirathil Oruvan" Come On Shortly

There is not even an iota of doubt that Karthi, right from the day Paruthiveeran hit the silver screens, shot to limelight. He proved his mettle in his maiden venture and thus bagged many prestigious offers. And he went on to win a Filmfare Best Actor award this year for his histrionics in Paruthiveeran. Karthi says that though he is very happy that he was given the award, he prefers to don roles different from Paruthiveeran. Karthi claims that he is not a fitness freak like his elder brother Surya but would try and reduce his weight.

He said that his character in Paruthiveeran required him to be obese but he has done all that he could to reduce up to 10 kgs of weight for a film that is to be directed by Linguswamy. His on-screen pair in the film would be Nayanthara. Currently, Karthi is associated with Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan, which is due to hit the silver screen shortly.

Right after winding up the Selvaraghavan directed Aayirathil Oruvan for release; Karthi is heading straight to Lingusamy’s camp. It is widely known that he plays the lead in Lingusamy’s untitled next venture produced for Tirupathy brothers. Latest heard Karthi has also committed his dates for another project.


Produced by Studio Green and directed by Suraaj, an announcement on this new movie is expected to be released soon. This would be the remake of the Telugu smash hit Vikramarkudu. Suraaj is still busy with the Dhanush starrer Padikkadhavan and the movie is expected to go on floors only after his commitments are over. Karthi, however, is expected to shuttle between the sets of both the films and get used to the hectic lifestyle of Kodambakkam.

"Aayirathil Oruvan" Starring Karthi, Andrea

Aayirathil Oruvan starring Karthi, Andrea and Reema directed by Selvaraghavan, is nearing completion. Shooting of the film had taken place in Kerala, Rajasthan and at various locales at a steady speed. Reliable sources reveal that Selvaraghavan is satisfied by the way the film has shaped up and is confidant that AO will do well at the box office.

Meanwhile the crew has moved to Hyderabad to can some shots involving Karthi and Andrea. Portions on Reema Sen have already been completed and she will not be at Hyderabad during this leg of the shooting. The crew is expected to return from Hyderabad to Chennai around 30th of July. Audio release dates will be announced later.

Lingusamy's New Film With Karthi And Nayan

It's official! Nayanthara has signed a record deal, to do ace director Lingusamy's new untitled film with Karthi as the hero.

It is a major casting coup of sorts for Lingusamy as he is bringing together the fastest rising young star with the number one heroine in Kollywood.

Nayan is said to have signed the film for the highest ever amount offered to a south Indian heroine in recent times. The film is said to be a romantic comedy entertainer against the backdrop of a city.

After listening to Lingu's storyline, Nayan simply fell in love with it. She is also eager to do a film with Karthi and this new pair is sure to sizzle on screen.

The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the shoot will start in August. Nayan has given bulk dates for the film in September as it is likely to be completed in one single schedule.
