Jayam Ravi Plays A Forest Officer In "Peranmai"

Jayam Ravi played a bubbly young boy in 'Santosh Subramaniam'. He is now going for an image make-over with 'Peranmai' in which he plays a forest officer and the movie is directed by Jananathan.

The movie is being shot in Ambasamudhiram and its adjoining forest areas. It is reported that state-of-the-art facilities are being used to shoot the stunt sequences.

Jayam Ravi has learnt archery for the movie. Hitherto known for being part of movies on family values, Jayam Ravi is optimistic of an image make-over.

'Peranmai is the apt title. It is about valor and struggle. Jayam Ravi is also the apt choice', say sources close to the director.

Jayam Ravi Next "Paranmani"

Despite five heroines in the film 'Peranmai', Jayam Ravi reportedly had a torrid time while filming. The movie directed by S.P. Jananathan has Jayam Ravi playing a forest official and so was taken to a jungle near Thekkadi.

Jayam Ravi had reportedly jokingly said he was expecting a lovely time with five heroines by his side, but then was tied upside down to a tree branch for almost a whole day. A lesson for all actors not to have high hopes. Director S. P. Jananathan whose name became big after the smash hit 'E', is known for his cow –boyish style of picturizing shots. Imagine Jayam Ravi's surprise when he found out the whole film would go along these lines. And to boot, despite five heroines in the film, there is not even a single duet song in the film.
Jayam Ravi however has something to cheer about. His film 'Dhaam Dhoom' after many snags in production is finally ready and is gearing up for release. The actor reportedly is more than happy with the outcome of the fight sequences.

He is also looking forward to his next venture that is going to be directed by the talented Ameer.
Young and energetic Ravi does have it in him to go a long way.
