Silambarasan Next Project "Poda Podi"

Varalakshmi daughter of noted actor and president of South India film artistes association, Sarath kumar, is making her foray in Kollywood. She is all set to begin her journey in the in the tinsel town with Poda Podi produced by Shanaya Tele films Pvt Ltd. Coming from the family of illustrious achievers in film field, Varalakshmi had her masters in business management (MBA) from Edinburgh university and formal exposure to acting in the acclaimed Anupam k her school of acting at Mumbai. Poda pod i is produced by Shanaya films the production has churned out mega hits films like Champion starring Sunny deol, Manisha koirala. Supari starring Uday chopra and Nandhitha Das. And latest film which is getting released by next month starring Dinu Maurya and Diya mirza titled Kabhi bhi Kahi bhi.

Silambarasan plays the hero and directed by Vigeshsiva. The entire movie would be shoot in Canada. Varalakshmi plays a meaty role that provides her a right avenue to showcase all her talents. Well versed in salsa and ballet she was flooded with several offers. However she chose to make her debut with podapodi, which she feels would be a perfect appetite for her various skills. Beginning her journey with the blessings of Srimathi R Radhika Sarathkumar and Sarath kumar. She is keen to scale up greater
heights.

Simbu Changes His Title

Initially it was Vaadaa POdi, now its called as Thiru pOdaa, Thirumathi pOdii
Simbhu, our vambhu hero is again in news for his mad doings.
He has changed his movie title and claims that this podaa podee will be released on 14th Feb 2009.

Already, for almost 4 years there is no movie released acted by him as he either quarreled with the producer of the movie or slapped his director or did some kind of mad thing to stop his own movie.

He is believed to be doing only one movie -Silambattam, as of now, but he keeps on spreading news that he is doing several other movies simultaneously.

He was found speaking a lot about a movie called Pollathavan and he recently announced dropping that and now he starts speaking about podaa podee!!!

Simbu Leg Got Fractured In The Shooting Spot

Actor Prasanna met with an accident and was in coma for few hours during the shooting of his film in US. It was a stunt sequence and the villain was suppose to hit in the head of Prasanna, instead of mock, the hit really fall on the head of Prasanna. He was admitted to a hospital there and is said to be recovering fast.

When this news reached, Simbhu too gave a news that his leg got fractured in the shooting spot and he is now in hospital bed. Reason behind this news is that, recently SJ Surya too met with an accident and was in news. As every hero is in news because they met with accident and there was a sentimental sorry feeling among the public for these men of the industry, Simbhu too gave such a news yesterday.

What’s The Story? Poda Podi Simbu,Varalaxmi And Sarath.

Just this morning, we had spoken to R. Sarathkumar and he refused to confirm reports that his daughter Varalaxmi’s on-screen debut will be in the Simbu-starrer Poda Podi.

To get a 360-degree-perspective on this entire issue, we spoke with actor Simbu himself and this is what he had to say: Varalaxmi had been approached by both the director and the producer for the lead role in the movie Poda Podi (spelt as Pooda Poodi). Since everyone felt that the script was excellent and very heroine-oriented, Varalaxmi would suit the character beautifully, as the role required a good dancer who could also speak fluent Tamil. Varalaxmi too is said to have been very impressed and enthusiastic about the role and the script and concept was even explained to Sarathkumar himself.

Varalaxmi and dad Sarathkumar have not confirmed that she will indeed accept this role and movie. Plus, the film maker have not issued any formal public statement about the movie itself. So, the frenzied reports of Varalaxmi and Simbu are all set to act together in Poda Podi was simply the media jumping the gun on this issue!

The final word on whether Varalaxmi will indeed do the movie rests with her father R. Sarathkumar and herself. As for Simbu, he says that he plays a small but pivotal character in the movie, but the movie itself is scripted entirely around the heroine.
