Jai, seems to be the fastest rising star in Kollywood after the sensational hit Subramaniapuram. Now he has signed a new film Rakozhi, to be directed by Pushkar and Gayathri (of Oram Pofame).
Lekha Washington, ex-veejay and the Sony Max's IPL T: 20 matches commentator is the heroine. If Pushakar and Gayathri's first film was on the illegal autorikshaw racing in Chennai, Rakozhi is about Chennai night life.
The producer of the film is Ravindran a financier who is now making Aayirathil Oruvan with Selvaraghavan. G.V Prakash will be the music director of Rakozhi.
Jai who heard a one-line script of the film liked it a lot. Says Jai: "Rakozhi is an interesting project and will give me another opportunity to perform. The shoot of the film will start by September10 in Chennai”.
Says Lekha: “I am just back from a holiday in UK and is yet to see Subramaniapuram as everyone is raving about it. And when I heard the script from Pushkar and Gaythri, I was thoroughly impressed and it is a city based film.
