Eesha Koppikar, who is back after judging the Miss Universe Pageant 2008 in Vietnam is on different trip these days. “Being the first Bollywood artiste to judge the pageant has been a unique experience.
It was fabulous but I felt sad that Miss India could not make it to the finals. I interacted with Donald Trump Jr, Miss Universe 2006 Jennifer Hawkins, hair stylist Louis Licar and Spice Girl Mel B. I was told about judging this pageant at the very last minute and I almost missed the flight.
It was a matter of fate and destiny and I have to thank my manager Simone Sheffield, who organised all this for me. Many thought I was there as a contestant. Manish Malhotra and Anita Dongre arranged their garments for me at the last minute but unfortunately; I could not wear them as Roberto Cavalli had already arranged something for me there. I put on a lot of weight because I threw a lot of weight around there,” laughs Eesha.
The actress, who has gone in for a spelling change in her name from Isha to Eesha feels the change is conducive to her career. “It has helped me to some extent. Yet there is a lot of hardwork and dedication that has helped me in my work. My parent’s blessings count too,” says Eesha.
“I am looking forward to great films this year. There is Rajshri Productions Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi, RGV’s Shabri, Atul Agnihotri’s Hello and Subhash Ghai’s Hello Darling. I have been busy working and want my work to speak for myself. I want to rise because of my performances and be known as an actor,” says Eesha.
