The organizers of the audio launch function of Saroja were in for some uneasy moments when the director-turned-actor Ameer took the mike to address the gathering. Speaking at the function, he posed a question to ace music director A.R. Rahman, who incidentally was not present at the venue, as to why he prefers commercial films and avoided composing music for emotion-oriented films. He also wanted to know why A.R. Rahman refused to consider budding directors like him but readily agrees to compose music for experienced directors like Bharathiraja and Balachander.It is also to be noted that during the Sakarakatti audio launch, Ameer expressed his desire to meet Rahman personally in the near future.
